Trent Richardson was cut by the Oakland Raiders so I turned to my NFL Draft friend A.P. Steadham for his view as he is an expert on all things SEC and Alabama.

As a video-blogger, I am sending this Vlog to thank Rachel for her email and explain how much I was taken aback by the events of the last 39 hours related to the Arizona Cardinals v Oakland Raiders Game.
via IFTTT
Trent Richardson was cut by the Oakland Raiders moments ago and while its sad, the sadder fact is the Raiders did not give him a schematic chance. Trent Richardson runs best off tackle but the Raiders did not even try to put him in situations like that. They gave him plays that were line bucks and it's no surprise he was downed for a loss a number of times in the preseason. So Trent moves on. Hopefully to a better place.

The Oakland Raiders running game was so bad Head Coach Jack Del Rio said "What run game?" When asked about it. The Raiders ground game was not that bad statistically as it gained 4.8 yards per rush but only 77 yards. Here is one example of the Cards stopping the ground game.

Fred Roggin, who's the Sports Director for NBC Los Angeles, contacted me on direct message to complain about my video where I accused him of being in the tank for Floyd Kephart, the head of New City Development LLC, and also of racism: having white faces on to talk about Coliseum City, but then finding crazy excuses not to have me on to talk about the subject I know better than anyone else - again, Coliseum City. See, whites tend to see racism as name calling, where blacks see racism as exclusion, and there are legions of examples of this, thanks to social media. Fred doesn't get it, but he's playing right into that classic behavioral pattern of racism.' After writing to me that he would call me for future shows on Coliseum City, and then not doing so, and my video accusing him of being Floyd's mouth piece, Fred wrote this to me today: Fred: When you are officially part of the negotiations with the city or county we would be interested in your perspective. People with opinions call the show. When you are recognized by my NFL sources, we would have you on as a guest. Race has never been a factor in our bookings and I'm fairly confident that none of guests would ever bring up race as an issue. To be perfectly honest, it's insulting. We believe our audience deserves better than that. Me: I'm just expressing what others say to me. NFL sources should never be a gauge because you don't know their agenda. As a media publisher, you really can't let others roll you like that. I've been involved with Coliseum City longer than anyone still involved. So there's no one who's a better source, ON TOP of the work Mark Davis asked me to do. Plus, the Mayor of Oakland is my Godsister. Plus, I nearly brought the Super Bowl to Oakland in 2000. We lost to JVille. So, whoever you claim to talk to doesn't know jack about me. Fred: You've made your point and I've made mine. I'm the Sports Director at NBC in Los Angeles and have been on TV for over 30 years. I've never been accused of racism because there's no validity to it. As I said, it's insulting. Thank you for your interest. I'll tell this story Monday on the radio. Good luck to you. I hope you things work out for you Me: It has. I am not seeking money - I did this because Mark was wanted the help. OK? But you have to understand how blacks are made to see the World. Most of us say what I say to you to ourselves - I do not do that. I'm not phony. Oh. One other thing: that an NFL source would be so into discrediting me should be a clue that I'm on to something. One other thing: the best course of action was to ask Mike Silver of NFL Network - he was there with me. We have been friends since 1986 at Cal Berkeley He saw Mark Davis ask me to submit the proposal and also confirmed it on Twitter. I mentioned this before, but you did not check. My NFL Sources back me. Also, why not ask Roger Goodell? I've known him since 1997. 1h 1 hour ago And if the NFL has so little respect for me, which is what you imply, then explain this: NFL: Oakland Has Not Submitted Viable Plan To Keep Raiders https://youtu.be/b3ESfhXBULk via @YouTube Or the fact that I'm covering Sunday night's Raiders Game. Or the NFL Draft for the past 10 years. All my own media company, dude. Folks can't handle that. I've implied nothing. I have no idea what your relationship is with the NFL. You're not employed as a spokesperson for the city or county.. You are not employed by the Raiders. You are not currently in negotiations with the city or county. I'm done. And then I was blocked. Fred just wanted to get his licks in, not listen. That's typical. Sad.

Do not use the San Francisco Bank Of America ATM At Powell St BART Station! I was the victim of an unsuccessful attempt to withdraw money from my account at the left most ATM of the bank of three of them located just above the Powell St BART Station exit / entry plaza. From what I have been able to determine based on what happened to me, some person or group managed to install an ATM Scanner on the machine. Consumerist and PCMag have great articles on how they work. But because I covered my code entry with my hand - because I sensed a man to my right was too close to me and moved away from him - the scanner did not pick up the right info and Bank Of America's systems caught the fraud transactions and notified me within 20 minutes. Those ATMs need to be shut down ASAP and BofA needs to do a San Francisco city wide audit of its systems.

This is my video blog response to Elizabeth James' blog post called "I Had To Hate Oakland Before I Could Learn To Love It". Many died in the wool Oaklanders hated it, what she wrote. But what caused me to Vlog was the news that she lived in my neighborhood of Adams Point at the height of her period of depression. I wondered if she was one of the new whites who feared blacks like me. The racial profiling type. That spurred this Vlog.

The sad story of the murder of Allison Parker and Adam Ward by Vester Lee Flanagan is that he was the one black man who could not handle racism. This problem seems to have grew and went unchecked - no mentor for him. That is a very sadly new problem. It has to be mentioned if only to sent a message that the way to handle racism is not like this. If someone thinks they are even headed in this direction please talk to family and friends and seek help. There are too many small instances of racism that are happening. We have to remember to love each other. But also tell the story honestly.

Oakland has developed an Emmett Till Lynch Mob Climate, where social media is used to get neighbors to confront people based only on what someone wrote about them online. More often than not the person who is the focus is black and male. This situation developed because of the influx of mostly white and Asian residents to Oakland over the last ten years ,and ramped up over the last three years, who fear "the other" and don't communicate with their neighbors. One day, a young black man who did not commit a crime will be targeted as if he did and killed unless something is done to stop this.

Some of you have asked where I got the idea that landline phone users were more conservative than cell phone users It's from a 2010 Pew Study and the link to that is here: http://ift.tt/1lpoMFn From the study: "Overall, the landline sample includes more white, non-Hispanics than the cell-only group (79% vs. 61%) while minorities make up a larger share of the cell-onlys. In the cell-only group, there are far more Hispanics (17% vs. 5% in landline sample), more African Americans (14% vs. 9%) and more people of other or mixed racial backgrounds (8% vs. 5%). Six-in-ten cell-only adults are men while 40% are women; this is consistent with findings from other cell phone surveys. The gender ratio in landline samples is highly dependent on the method for selecting respondents within the household."

CNN is making a lot out of their August 2015 Opinion Research Poll, reporting that Donald Trump is within "striking distance" of Hillary Clinton with 45 percent in the poll of just over 1,000 people, where Clinton has 51 percent. Aside from the fact that the poll calls more landline users than cellphone users by design, and by a constant ratio of roughly 600 to 400 in the poll data I've looked at for this year thus far, the more shocking news is that in July, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush was a point closer to Clinton. That's right. In the July 2015 CNN / Opinion Research Poll, the pollsters asked the same question to registered voters and comparing Clinton and Bush. The result: Hillary Clinton 51 percent to Jeb Bush 46 percent. So I then checked to determine if CNN had reported that Bush was so close to Clinton, and they had not done so. Moreover, an honest report by CNN would have said that while Trump was close to Clinton, he's still not as close as Bush was in July. Look at the poll date yourself: July Poll Data: Page 76 of 92 for Bush and Page 78 of 92 for Trump (registered voters) http://ift.tt/1IlTF4C August Poll Data: Page 60 of 67 for Bush and Page 63 of 67 for Trump (registered voters) http://ift.tt/1JhVpAW Do you see? Time to call Jeb Bush and tell him the news. CNN has a lot of explaining to do. Are they in the tank for Donald Trump, and if so, why? And why not just report the news, let alone survey voters in a way that reflect the fact that just as many people and voters use cell phones as land-lines. There's is a real difference between landline users and their more liberal cell phone counterparts. That's the way the country is turning - not reflecting that in a poll makes the poll questionable. There's an "out" that CNN would use regarding "likely" voters and trying to capture their views, but even then how this was done just looks bad. The question is this: is Hillary Clinton's chance to be a game-changer in that she's the first woman that can win the White House as exciting to voters as when Barack Obama had the chance to become the first black president? Stay tuned.

Oakland Raiders working on stadium plan for Oakland! The Oakland Raiders held a meeting with members of the City of Oakland, the County of Alameda, and the Oakland Alameda County Joint Powers Authority today. The good news is the Raiders are working on their own version of Coliseum City. If you are wondering if that means that Floyd Kephart is out, the answer is that yes, he soon will be. The problem for the Raiders is that there is a $400 million commercial development revenue gap that they are trying to figure out how to fill with their design. If they used my Coliseum City concept, the hotel revenue throw off would be $328 million. Meanwhile Kephart is holding his own public meeting Tuesday, August 25th at Lunomare Restaurant in Oakland at 8:30 am. It's a public presentation for invited guests and ahead of the September 4th Oakland City Council Meeting on Coliseum City.

The CNN / ORC Poll that reports Hillary Clinton with just a six point lead over Donald Trump has a built In conservative bias. Opinion Research always talks to about 200 more landline users than cell phone users and always around 600 to 400, and this has gone on for years. Without change. CNN needs to stop this. The percentage of households using cell phones is almost equal to landlines today. The 60 40 split was true in 2012 but this is 2015. Now they are equal. The poll approach should reflect that.

In this Coliseum City update, the City of Oakland elected officials may object to this news, but according to two sources, first, the focus is on a proposal to Alameda County that centers around the estimated cost of Oakland Coliseum land, and not the County's portion of the remaining debt; second, the City is still focused on the version of Coliseum City that is, as one elected official put it, “a new community.” That was the term Oakland City Council President Lynette Gibson McElhaney used in a Facebook conversation this blogger started and she participated in Sunday evening. The total was a disturbing reminder that Oakland, once again, is tone-deaf to the actual objective everyone else expects, a new stadium, and trying to (or at least Lynette is) build the entire $4 billion Coliseum City version. Both of us liked the first part of FF4 , but I thought the rest of it felt more like a horror movie than an action film. It had too much of the foreboding of Chronicle, another Josh Trank movie. Overall it could be improved and I liked the actors: Kate Mara, Michael B Jordan, Miles Teller, and Jamie Bell.

Tim Tebow scores his first NFL touchdown with the Philadelphia Eagles just moments ago in the preseason game against the Colts. Tebow elected to run a keeper and dove for the right pylon. Tim Tebow is back!

Tim Tebow Philadelphia Eagles QB has gone 4 of 5 on this drive and shows a great command of the offense. I have always felt that Tim Tebow is a great QB who just needs to be in the right system.

Jameis Winston's not done but I liked what I saw out of him, especially considering he wasn't given any easy throws to make and he called great audibles. But the Tampa Bay Bucs Offensive scheme is not that friendly and the defense is not giving him the ball back. Still there is time.

A Seat Deposit Program For Los Angeles NFL Football? Reports are that one's under way, but it's not by the NFL. Here's the statement from the NFL. NFL Executive Vice President for Business Affairs Eric Grubman talks to the media at the Special NFL Owners Meeting for LA Opportunities that was held in Chicago on Tuesday, August 11th. Mr. Grubman says that, as of now, the NFL has not taken a position on starting a seat deposit program, but if one were done, it would be such that season ticket holders get priority and depositors would be able to back out of it, with interest. As of this point, there has been no decision made on a team in LA, and the way things look, there may not be one. Stay tuned. Visit our blog Zennie62.com here: http://ift.tt/1d6iMwr
