Fans Flock to Leicester Square for Iron Man 3 Premiere

Thursday the 18th of April and another film premiere hits London's Leicester Square, this time it was the third instalment of Iron Man starring Robert Downey Jnr, who blew kisses to the crowd and was joined by fellow stars of the film, Ben Kingsley, Rebecca Hall and Don Cheadle although Gwyneth Paltrow was not present.

The third instalment of the Marvel Comic adaption could be Downey's last as his contract is up and said he was unsure if he would be back in the role.

He said: "Right now the future is uncertain, but I think it's very important that we end this first Marvel phase in a way that is definitive and has people asking questions."

With Superhero movies going from strength to strength at the box office and with the Avengers 2 in the pipeline fans would love to see Downey Jnr back in the suit at least one more time.

Iron Man 3 opens in the UK on April 25th.

London on Alert after Boston Bombings.

Almost immediately after news broke of the bombings that took place at the Boston marathon yesterday, where 2 people were killed and over 100 injured, London who host two major events of potential interest to terrorists this week where tightening security around the capital.

On Wednesday London will host the State funeral for former Prime Minister, Baroness Thatcher. Security around this event was high even before the events that took place in Boston yesterday and tensions ran high after the announcement of her death last week.
Perhaps more significantly the London Marathon is due to take place this coming Sunday and official's have stated that security will be reviewed ahead of the race.

The London Marathon will have an estimated £10,000 more runners than its Boston counterpart and the route passes some of London most famous Landmarks. The event is also televised live. Sports Minister, Hugh Robertson has confirmed that the London Marathon will go ahead and was said to be 'absolutely confident' that the event could go ahead safely.

A brief statement by Chief Superintendent Julia Pendry, who is in charge of policing Sunday's race said. "A security plan is in place. We will be reviewing our security arrangements in partnership with London Marathon."

An estimated 500,000 spectators are expected to line the 26.2 mile route although that number may dwindle due to what took place in Boston yesterday.

Plebgate Scandal Costs Near £150,000.

The cost of an investigation into whether or not the then Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell allegedly called a police officer who told him he could not depart Downing Street's main gate on his bicycle, a 'pleb' has almost reached a cost of £150,000.

The word 'pleb' used by upper class people who think they are better than the rest of society was allegedly used by Mr Mitchell, (who could also be described as upper class) during the incident in September 2012.

It is not only the cost of this investigation that is astonishing but that fact that the police has assigned 30 officers to the case that probably nobody other than Mr Mitchell even cares about anymore. Detectives have taken 740 statements and have be working the case for over 6 months and still haven't been able to establish if Mr Mitchell who since resigned his position did or did not use the word pleb or swore at police officers at Downing Street's main gate back in September. The investigation is on-going.

No one knows how to waste time, money and resources like the Metropolitan Police.
I hope the investigation includes why Mr Mitchell has that ridiculous basket on the front of his bike.

In an exclusive interview with Zennie62 friend Karen A. Brown of StardustBlue Media, Lennon talks about how he came to do the song with Steven Tyler, and the visuals used in the video, which you can see at Zennie62.com here: Julian Lennon Interview: On His New Release “Someday” Feat. Steven Tyler

Controversial Teen Police Commissioner Quits Post.

A few days ago I brought you the story of Paris Brown the newly appointed teen police commissioner given the role by Kent Police in order to gain a youth point of view and to bridge the gap between the local young community and the local police authority.

Unfortunately for Paris Brown and the Kent Police the 17 Year Old's homophobic, sexist, racist, drug promoting Twitter rants were exposed by the Mail On Sunday Newspaper. Miss Brown's employer publically backed the Teen after calls for her to be sacked by local MP'S.

A full 6 days into the job and 2 days after what turned out to be another embarrassing tweet via @YouthPCC that said 'I'm growing up fast and will make this post work' Brown quit her post as the Kent Police force said they were to investigate her messages.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of all is that Miss Brown has now opened a new Twitter account where we can only assume she'll be posting tweets about trying to find a new job. It is not known if Kent Police will be looking for a replacement or will scrap the position altogether, but I'm sure they'll be checking Twitter before another appointment is made.

The Rolling Stones Return to Hyde Park for Summer Gigs.

The Rolling Stones are returning to Hyde Park over forty years since they played in front of around half a million people at the same venue. After announcing the concert last week which sold out in 3 minutes, the ageless rockers have announced a second date of Saturday 13th July and tickets will go on sale this Friday April 12th from 9.am.

Selling the tickets is obviously not a problem but confusion reigned when a plan showed that premium tickets that cost £300 would give the same access as the cheaper ticket holders would get. This has since been corrected and the concert's promoter AEG Live apologised for the error and have now corrected the issue.

Speaking about the decision to play at Hyde Park, guitarist Keith Richards said:

"We all had such a ball last year, and the energy between the band is so good. We can’t wait to get back on that stage where the Stones belong."

The Hyde Park gigs come shortly after the band headline Glastonbury, lets hope that the boys can last the pace.

Newly Appointed Youth Police Commissioner Rants on Twitter.

The Kent police wanted to know what the younger population of Kent thought about them. Instead of send representatives to visit schools in the borough to gather information they employed 17 year old Paris Brown. The problem now is everyone is telling Kent police what they think of her after The Mail on Sunday newspaper exposed some of her recent posts on Twitter.

Using the Twitter handle Paris@viluabelle, which has now been closed, Kent police's new youth police commissioner took to the social networking site to rant about gays, illegal immigrants, taking drugs, getting drunk and how she became anti social, racist and sexist when drunk.

Perhaps Kent police should be more concerned about what they think about the youth in their community rather than what the youth think about them. Either that or they'll be handing out Anti Social Behaviour Orders (ASBO) on themselves.

For the record Kent Crime Commissioner, Ann Barnes who hired Miss Brown says she will not be sacked despite calls from local MP's saying that she should be removed and the post scrapped.

Maybe they should stick to school visits in future.
