Today, Father's Day, a large group of white Oaklanders met at the Columns At Lake Merritt in Oakland to hold a large rally to protest the murder of blacks at the hands of police and white supremacists. The crowd wants whites to get up and get involved in stopping the madness. I talked with Oakland lawyer and civil rights activist David Siegel who said that while race relations have improved this problem where many poor whites blame blacks for their problems must stop.
