Gil Garcetti, Molly Barnes: LA VIP Artist Reception Thursday 5-8 PM West LA College Fine Art Gallery Culver City, CA- A highly anticipated Fine Art Group Show of some of America’s major modern artists will participate in “California Landscapes” curated by award winning Fine Art icon and media personality Molly Barnes. Over 15 acclaimed artists including Gil Garcetti- former Los Angeles District Attorney and father of LA’s Mayor Eric Garcetti; Lucas Reiner- son and brother to Carl and Rob Reiner; Gayle Roski- renowned art philanthropist after whom the USC School of Art and Design is named, Chris Morgan, whose painting “Redwoods” is featured on the official initiation cover (attached) and he is the son of actor Harry Morgan; Ed Ruscha, one of the world’s most influential and critically acclaimed artists often associated with the origins of the Pop Art movement will be in attendance. Visitors to the Getty Museum know Ruscha for a nearly 30-foot tall painting in the lobby of the Harold M. Williams Auditorium. Also attending and showing are many others whose art is included in private collections and museums all over the world including Nick Aged, Peter Alexander, Marina Day, Linda Jacobson, Marco Polo, Marina Moevs, and Jerry McMillan. These spectacular and highly collectible artists have captured landscapes and elements of nature in oil, watercolor and photography. The show in the West LA College Fine Arts Gallery at 9000 Overland Avenue Culver City, CA 90230 runs from September 6th through October 15, 2016 and is free to the public. A VIP reception will be held in the gallery on Thursday, September 8 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Many VIPs and celebrities are expected including Mayor Garcetti, artist and former District attorney Gil Garcetti, members of the Carl Reiner family, Renee Taylor, actor Joe Bologna, famed attorney Tom Mesereau, actor collector Lou Ferrigno, actress singer Rebecca Holden, actor collector Ken Davitian (Borat and The Artist), famed LA art critic Peter Frank, members of MOCA and the LA County Museum of Art, Culver City, Beverly Hills, Century City officials and many others. Complimentary parking is available that evening in the adjacent parking structure. On other days, parking is $2.00. Exact change is needed for the parking pass machine.
